Phoenix Rising FC reveals kits, stadium details at fan-focused event

Phoenix Rising FC hosted a special event Monday evening for Early Risers at Four Peaks Brewing Company located in Tempe, Arizona.

After everyone settled in and enjoyed a beer or two courtesy of Phoenix Rising, club Governor Berke Bakay and his team took the stage to discuss the latest news with Phoenix Rising’s application to MLS, stadium updates, ticket pricing, and the 2017 jersey reveal.

MLS Application and Stadium Update

Bakay announced that Phoenix Rising worked very hard over the last few days and that they have officially submitted their application to potentially become one of the next expansion teams for MLS. Bakay stated that the best way to improve our chances of MLS expansion was by filling every seat and spreading the word of Phoenix Rising FC to our friends and family.

He also took a moment to thank the supporter groups and fans for their continued support and told everyone that this would not be possible without them and he hopes that everyone is pleased with the new ownership group. I think we can all agree that the new owners have made a lot of progress in a very short amount of time and we are excited to see where their leadership takes the team.

Bakay also announced that the stadium will be ready for the home opener against Toronto FC II scheduled for March 25th. The stadium will initially seat 6,000 fans (supporters section will seat 1,000) and they hope to fill every seat and possibly expand as early as mid-season if needed.

Ticket Pricing

Since the announcement of the re-branding and news about the new stadium, one question everyone had was about the cost of season tickets – and we finally have some answers – and I think everyone is going to be pleased.

First of all, tickets for Phoenix Rising matches will be available through Ticketmaster, and the club has negotiated a deal so that fans are not charged any fees. The price you see, is the price you pay (plus tax).

Seats will range from $10 per seat to $35 per seat for the 2017 season. And if you have already purchased an Early Riser Ticket Package, expect a phone call or e-mail sometime next week to select your seats. Below are the prices for individual tickets and season tickets for each section of the stadium:

Supporters Section – $10/$160
Sections 101, 107, 108, 114 – $15/$240
Sections 102, 106, 109, 113 – $20/$320
Sections 103, 105, 110, 112 – $30/$480
Sections 104, 111 – $35/$560

2017 Home/Away Jersey Reveal

Well the wait is over – we finally got a first look at the 2017 home and away jerseys, and my first impression is that it was a huge improvement from the previous years. This year we will be rocking red and white Umbro jerseys with Mad Decent as the sponsor. For those who do not know, Mad Decent is a Los Angeles-based record label founded by Phoenix Rising investor, Diplo.

One additional perk for season ticket holders includes a complimentary inaugural jersey.

Thanks to the Phoenix Rising management team and players for hosting this great event. Now that all of our questions are answered about the MLS application, stadium, ticket prices, and jerseys, we can all focus on the next big event which will be the home opener on March 25th against Toronto FC II.
